The Norton Book of Sports ReviewThis is a master work of editing. There are dozens of stories, both fiction and non-fiction that are the best of their kind. Topping the List is Tom Wolfe's The Last American Hero about auto racer Junior Johnson. Edmund Hillary's tale of his trip up Mount Everest is fascinating as is Bill Russell's inside story of clutch players and cowards in the NBA. Of the hundreds of sports books I have read this is one of the two best. The other being a similar anthology by Al and Brian Silverman.The Norton Book of Sports Overview
