While reading different parts of the book, I felt like he had read my mind while writing it. With his take on subjects such as the American League, the designated hitter, fields of grass, knee-high socks, football vs. baseball, etc., I found Mr. Mayer to mirror my views. Mayer uses humor effectively throughout the book and is very adept at putting feeling into his writing.
