Best Kept Secret (Pink Locker Society) ReviewBefore having "the talk" with my daughter, I searched the web for a site that would not only be age appropriate on the subject, but, one that would show normal healthy handling of the situation. These books, along with the website are wonderful and my daughter just Loves them. The whole issue as well as other middle-school dramas are handled beautifully. It was about 8 months later that my daughter received her "gift/curse" (however you want to put it!) and she never skipped a beat. I don't think this should be used to replace talking with your child, but I think it helps to dispell the worry and show that it is perfectly normal and that it isn't scary.
